Scouts Rock up in Red for the British Heart Foundation
February is Rock up in Red month for the British Heart Foundation, and last week the Scouts all rocked up in red, and also donated some of their pocket money to the BHF, which raised £71. This meeting was the start of work on our Community Challenge and in the coming weeks Scouts will be giving up their time in order to help volunteers from the BHF to deliver their charity bags to houses around Carmarthen, and will also be collecting the full bags and delivering them to the charity's shop on Nott Square. Several of the Scouts have already given a a few hours of their time when they helped volunteer fundraiser Jayne Lewis with a stall on Merlin's Walk in order to launch Rock up in Red in Carmarthenshire. Their efforts helped to raise over £400 for the charity.

February Dragon Award
All but 3 of the Scouts that took part in the February Bronze Dragon Award camp, had already hiked nearly 7 miles the same day! Great stamina. Some of them even managed to keep talking until after 11pm! For Emma and Owen this was their first night away, and was the first night away since moving up to Scouts for Joseph, Lloyd and Gareth - da iawn bois!
